I've been a fan of Sammy's for awhile. I've seen him in concert several times... Solo with the Wabos, and with Van Hagar! I absolutely love his tequila line! I knew when he announced the book signing tour I had to go that was my chance to finally meet the Red Rocker one of my favorite Rock Stars!
I got to see Sammy tonight at the Borders in NYC - I happened to be up here this week and what a treat. As Sam came in, people were kind of laid back. Not me. As soon as he got near, I said rather loudly "KSHE-95 is in the house!" I grew up in St. Louis and still stream KSHE all the time on my computer or iPad. Sammy just laughed, shook my hand, and said he couldn't believe it! He was really great again when he signed two copies of his book for me. I told him that it was hard to believe that it was 32 years ago last week that he opened for Boston in St. Louis.
Huge Hagar fan! In fact the only "celebrity" that I would ever care to meet or have a chance to talk to his Sammy Hagar.
First time I saw Hagar live was in Springfield MO in 1984 on the VOA tour. STILL, the best show I've ever seen.

I just finished reading "Red", I was unable to put it down, great job to both Sammy and Joel, Great read. FYI, it took me two weeks to finish Keith Richards "Life". Red is much more interesting.
Just picked it up. Had to drive to 3 different book stores (two Borders and one Barnes & Noble) at lunch to find it, but it was worth it. I can't wait to start reading it tonight.
Now come to Michigan and do a book signing, Sammy!!! Plz!
