April 01, 2011 by chadm046

It took me a few day's to get through the book, but wow! Just the the Van Halen era alone kept me glued to the book. All i have to say is..Redheads rule the planet and there will never be another Sammy Hagar.

Man, I still can't believe it's been almost a week since the book signing. I never thought I'd see Sammy in my own hometown! It was like winning the lottery. The last time I'd seen him perform was during the Van Halen OU812 tour. After that I was always stuck working or too broke for tickets. But from the Montrose days up till now I always listened to his music. It got me through my teens, my tour in the Navy and helped keep me sane while recovering from major spinal surgery. Whenever I plugged in it was like visiting with an old friend.

The book

March 31, 2011 by banzai

I read your book and loved it. I am a long time fan and the book only makes it more clear why. Love your music and your outlook on life. I have seen your live show with Van Halen twice, and I am hoping to catch you soon in Tahoe. Thanks for the book and all the years of great music. Here's to many more years! Salud

My Sammy Connection

March 30, 2011 by sergeamh

Hey, everyone!

I'm a teacher at a private middle school here in Mexico City and found out a couple months ago that the older brother of one of my students is the head chef of the Cabo Wabo cantina in Cabo San Lucas!! I'm kinda psyched about that. In any case, I'm planning on travelling for Sammy's birthday this year. I've never seen him live but have his live DVD (the birthday bash one) and LOVE his albums!!

I'm very proud indeed of being a Redhead. Oh, and btw, I also bought the book (the downloadable kindle version) and read it in two days. Fascinating stuff!

Sammy Signing

March 29, 2011 by Laela

I hope you had a chance to read the card I gave you. We drove all night and we were super happy to meet you.

The event went so fast that they gave my book away and pushed me through the line. When I expressed that I didn't get even get my book another fan realized THE GUYS had given it to her. I am glad I knew what page I put my receipt on.

I just wish that THE GUYS would have been patient enough for me to get one picture.I even stood in line twice. Well, I guess I will have to try again. XOXOX

What a ride!

What a ride!
Sammy at Petaluma Book Signing
More images are available below.

I thought my right hand was going to fall off. I signed that many books in the last two weeks. Literally thousands and thousands. Some of you were there in NYC, St Louis, LA... I love my Redheads. So great that so many of you came out to get the book signed. Not so great that so many eBay sellers were so rude and pushy and made it so hard for the real fans who were respecting each other and following the rules. Everywhere at all the bookstores there were awkward incidents that were so embarrassing to me. If you are someone who had a bad experience I am truly sorry.

What a ride!
