Sammy and the Wabo's show at Naperville Rib Fest was a fun and family friendly show at that. I had a ball seeing him for the 1st time since 1979. I last saw Sammy headlining on a 1979 tour which also featured Pat Travers and the Scorpions 1st US tour "Love Drive". This was an amazing night a great rock & roll. Previous to that Sammy played the Aug 1979 "Farewell to a Texas Summer" at the Cotton Bowl in a hugh out door show.

Rib Fest reminded me of the old 70's era outdoor shows and he put on a hell of a concert. I love the beautiful Gibson Les Paul's by the way. The review of his career was awesome going back to the Ronnie Montrose era and Sammy's appreciation of all the talent he's worked with from Montrose, Van Halen and into today's line up is impressive. It's nice to see an artist that understands where he came from and who bought all those records along the way.

Sammy has become the Jimmy Buffett of rock and it's a wonderful fun experience that makes my generation that grew up with him remember the good times of old and forget just how old we have become. Great show Sammy I loved it!!
