I'm looking forward to digging into the new forum here on the web page. Looks like the old forum has been invaded by spammers.
But I've noticed right off the bat that I can't upload a photo. I'd also like to have some control over my font. Color and size, back fill color. Emonicons.
I like to use the Tahoma Font with orange text. Orange is my favorite color. It would look great against the black background.

Updating to the New Forum Next Dec. 21st

Hey all! Just a heads up. We will be moving over to the new forum Tuesday, December 21st. This forum will be pulled along with all of the content. The functionality of the new forum is much more robust and manages your posts in a different way so there is not an easy way to transfer over. Thanks for trying it out for us!
We will do our best to move over the old forum content, but won't really know if it is possible until we get there.

and the layout is flat listed, but the captcha is still there. Love that we'll be able to upload photos and have smiley's soon :)
Also the forum itself is small and hard to read (especially with the red lettering on the gray background), is there any way of making it bigger?

I know it sounds silly, but

I know it sounds silly, but could you change the time that something is posted to regular instead of military time? Plus, could the year come after the day and month, it"s just confusing when you are looking to see when the last post was.

Hey all! We removed the captcha and changed the layout of the replies so that all replies are listed as a flat list instead of indented.
We also found a solution that allows you to upload photos and have....smiley faces!
Update coming soon!

The blogs

are great for small personal discussions/opinions...but they fall off the page and unless you go out of your way to read them all, you don't catch them all the time. Not to mention, there are just TOO many subjects for a blog to do the job of a forum. The 'track' button is a great help for topics you've already replied to...but if you haven't replied to something, it won't show up in your 'track'. With the old board, you can view new posts without a problem, and they are all in order. Uploading pics on the old forum is a piece of cake...use photobucket (or any free hosting site)copy and paste the image link where you want the pic to go and wallah! (Be happy to help you if you have a hard time) Actually on the old board, you will find the answers to just about ANYTHING Sammy or board related :) So much info there, and archives galore!

Yes Darlene, this is why I am a fan of the blogs. I think that area works well for discussions and for just writing stuff. So much easier to find whet you were talking about. I don't have much luck on that old forum, I was never a fan of those set ups. Plus it won't let me upload any profile pics or anything. I think our "track" buttons on our profiles are what help us out here the most.

I totally agree with everything you just posted here! Is there any reason why the "old" forum can't be linked to the new site? I like the flow of the old forum along with all the extra's mentioned above.

but the old forum is much easier to find new posts. Here on this forum, new posts that are a 'reply' get mixed up in the middle of all the other posts. On the old forum if you click 'reply', it quotes the member you are replying to and puts all the new posts in order. And the Captcha you have to put in to post anything here gets old lol...
I don't know how anyone else feels, but I don't have a problem signing into the old forum...unless I sign out, it saves my password. I know the other board is a bit cluttered and needs clean up, but it's so much easier and a lot more fun with being able to post pictures (ex. the collectors corner)and have colors, smileys and more personalization. This seems to be an extension of the blogs. Don't know if any of that can be incorporated into this forum or not. Just my 2 cents...I'll be an active member of whatever forum you choose to use. Although few of us are having a hard time loosing the old forum...

Once we get it blessed by the core redheads we will move it over and replace the other board. The good thing about this one is that you don't need a separate username and password. Once you are logged into redrocker.com you can just use this forum. Everything is tied to your redrocker.com account.

This forum is part of the new site. However, before we move anything, we wanted to check in with you all on if you like it or not.
To get back to any of the other pages you just click on the links at the top of the page. For instance, to get back to the Redhead page you click on 'Redheads' link above.

The old board hasn't been shut down...it's still up (for now)...that's how I originally found out about this new forum...

um, sorry if it's RIGHT in my face and I am missing it, but how do you get here from the main page? I got here originally from the link in the content update e-mail, and then out of my "track" tab, but where's the main link to get here?

Whoa, this is gonna take some getting use to LOL... I'll get back to ya lol...
This forum really lacks some personality. I started a Sammy Hagar thread in another forum that I've belonged to for over 3 years now. I've gotten a couple of the RedHeads from here to come over. Come check it out! We have to use a host site like PhotoBucket to post photos…. but at least we can. It supports GIF files. Font colors and styles. Stop by!
