Meeting Sammy at his "RED" book signing

I have been a HUGE fan of Sammy for decades and I finally got the chance to meet him at Barnes & Noble bookstore in Roseville, Ca on March 24, 2011 Thursday night. IT WAS AWESOME... it was just for a minute, but it was the best day of my life! I walked up and got my two books signed, as I walked up, I blurted out "I LOVE YOU" and he read my shirt out loud "not for sale" which was his Cabo Wabo Sammy Hagar T-Shirt I picked up at seeing him at the Sleep Train a few years back.

Barnes & Noble Roseville - what a turnout!

March 25, 2011 by velvet jones

The Sammy signing last night was a disappointment for many of us. First of all, it was a GREAT turnout. The store was packed, despite some of the worst rain I’ve seen in years. An employee said there were about 500 in line. He said it was the best turnout for an event that he'd seen in his 22 years. It quickly became clear why Roseville was among the handful of places to be blessed with a stop on the book tour. Barnes & Noble ran out of books 50 minutes before the signing started! Shame on B&N for not having 500 more books on hand, as Sammy was signing 2 copies per person.

Book signing Roseville, Ca

March 25, 2011 by flowerladycw

I just wanted to say that my knees are still weak from my visit with my 2nd love, Sammy last night. I own a Flower shop in Auburn, so of course the Florist couldn't go empty handed. He got some beautiful "RED" roses. That got me a kiss on the cheek. I felt like a little girl that didn't want to wash her face afterwards. It was definately worth the wait on a crappy, rainy day. I will see all you crazy fans at the next show! Lisa

3/24/11 Roseville, CA book signing huge disappointment

March 25, 2011 by rockmom3

I'm 46 years old and Sammy was my first rock concert when I was 13. I was hooked and have been a huge fan ever since!! I pre-ordered his book and read it the day it arrived. When I heard he was doing a book signing on March 24, 2011 in Roseville I was so excited--finally a local event where I could meet Sammy and take my kids (ages 16, 13 and 12). My kids were excited too--after hearing about Sammy and the concerts I've been to, they could finally meet the object of my 30 plus year obsession!

RED! I "RED" It!!!

March 24, 2011 by LARockerChick

This kind of book is not my genre, as a rule. I pre-ordered it on my Nookie! Finished it this morning. Absolutely LOVED it. And who knew what a groovy dude Sammy really is as a person. Hot, for sure. Great smile and energy too - but now we know how amazing he is a human! Thank you for sharing.

The Book

March 24, 2011 by LadyRed51

I just finsihed the book. I have to say it was a pretty good book. It kind of left me wanting more. It's like he ran out of time and still left somethings out.

I found the book easy to read and so much more personal then most books you read. It was like Sammy was right their talking to you and telling you the story himself. Not so scripted like most books. Must of been good because I read it in two days. lol
