It's hard to believe. . .but 25 years ago this week, an amazing album was released. I still remember the day I went up to the local Dimple Records to buy that historic tape. And I remember the feeling I got when I heard the opening lines to " Good Enough. " To this day, I remember being up all night listening to this amazing and majestic music from a band that almost broke up the previous year.
Was great to see Sammy 3 Times on the book tour, Roseville, S.F. and Petaluma. Met a lot of great RedHeads in line as we waited for over 36 hours total. We were first in line for S.F. and Petaluma. Sammy was not surprised to see us for all three days. Great days and great times! It was worth the 400 miles of driving and the hotel stays.
What a great book! Nice to see someone with great values, do so well. Saw Sammy in the early 80's. Best show I had ever seen. One to judge other shows by. Keep Rockin' Mr. H.
I read Sammy's book, it's amazing. Sammy was great on Stern I hope he goes back on Stern to play some music. I really love Sammy's music and his stories. And I hope he and the Wabos are coming to NYC soon, Chickenfoot is awesome, but i'd love to see Sammy's solo show.
Went to Petaluma last night (hour and fifteen minutes) had other things todo before and arrived at the bookstore at 7:35 and was told that Sammy had already been gone for 10 mins. WTF!! The website said he was signing from 7-9. What a waste of time!
At the book signing today In Petaluma did any one else noticed that Sammy had his Red Rocker Mountain Bike behind him next to the Copperfeilds sign. I was busy having a small chat with Sammy that I did not notice until I looked at my photos. Thanks Sammy to even come out to Chicken town. See you in Tahoe this summer.
I'm sorry to dwell on this but to be honest I'm ticked off. I'm really glad for the people who had a wonderful experience at the B&N book signing in Roseville. My 13 year old daughter was 'moved along' by his guys and she fell right in front of Sammy at the signing table and he looked away! My daughter was horribly embarrassed (as only a 13 year old girl can be!) and didn't understand why I have been such a fan of Sammy's. Before she was excited to see him, but the way we were treated, she just has an unfavorable opinion now.
