SAMMY HAGAR AT VILLA PARK!!!!!!!!! SABS LAST GIG!!!!
March 29, 2025 by johnmee2112
Hi
This is not a begging letter for tickets!!! Me and my friend have 2 tickets for Villa Park (£425 each!!!!!) so thats sorted.
However we are massive Sammy fans. We first saw him with Riot as support, 1980, Birmingham Odeon - we grew in Birmingham in Aston, where Sabbath are from. Lets get the apologies out the way first........
We were on Row "A" up against the stage for the Street Machine tour and unplugged Gary Peels guitar - 45 years later we apologise. We had too many drinks and stabbed Gary Peel in the foot with the pin of a metal badge - he jumped up, the crowd thought it was part of him getting into the music. Difficult to see that this deserves an apology.....
Sammy had a radio controlled guitar, the first i believe at The Odeon. It was early stages of development and had some teething issues on the night. Just by the gig is a taxi rank at New St train station and they were on the same/near radio frequency, so we often had requests for a ride to an Indian restaurant coming through the PA between numbers. I suspect the taxi controller also had Bad Motor Scooter coming through between requests for a ride so "A fiar exchange is never robbery"...............
We went to Cork in Ireland to see Chickenfoot play the Marquee. We were the ones who shouted for 90 minutes, "Space Station Number F**king 5".
Anyhow, is there a chance of a meet and greet with Sammy? Again we have tickets sorted already, we are in Villa Park, we just want to meet a hero. How about a quid pro quo:
We show Sammy the site of The Odeon
We take him to the house Ozzy grew up in (by Villa Park)
We show him Villa Park and Aston Hall
We show him Black Sabbath bridge
Anyway theres the request, if its a "No", we also hope that you do not start delayed legal proceedings on behalf of Gary Peels injuries...
