I just watched the Big interview with Dan Rather on youtube.
I heard Sammy for the first time back in the early 80s while I was in high school. Instant fan! I listened to Standing Hampton on vinyl enough to wear it out and learned every lyric on the entire album and air guitar for hours on end. When Sammy joined Van Halen, I felt let down, it was not Sammy anymore but as time went on and they created hit after hit, I let Sammy be my rock and roll hero again. He has always fascinated me the way he carries himself and in "The Big Interview" I saw the real Sammy Hagar! I now have more respect than ever before. He is a true, clean hearted, honest human being. God Bless you Sammy...Please keep up the good work and being an inspiration to those of us who have grown up with you in our headphones, parties and rock n roll fantasies.
