Boxing Match and Crappy DJs

August 21, 2011 by azure.s

I'm pretty disgusted with the DJs around here. They're not cooperating; they're not playing enough Hagar/Chickenfoot. Don't know what their problem is, either. The narrow-minded dumb asses play stupid stuff like Red Hot Chilly Peckers, instead...guess they just need some educatin'!
But then there are some guys who are wiser than the general sort, ones who know when to hang on to their stubborn ideals and when to simply stop. (Like not taking the stage in a dangerous storm...for instance.)

KBEAR 101 Idaho's Only Real Rock Station

July 30, 2011 by azure.s

I've decided it's my new hobby to get KBEAR 101, the rock station here, to play much more Hagar/Chickenfoot. Starting today, they'll hear from me every day.... I'm convinced it's for the good of our youth. :) I'm all about helping young people reach their potential!

Somebody has to risk their life and wake up Sammy; we need to hear from him. Tell him to give us an interview or somethin'! Tell him to get back to work...but don't say I said it...

Jello Shooters!!!
1 pack of Jello to 8oz Cabo Wabo.
Little Dixie Cups work well to set it up. Or chill it in a pan and cut it into cubes. Stick a cherry in it with its stem poking out, if you don't want to get your fingers sticky when you slurp the shooter.

Tequila Shrimp?

June 01, 2011 by azure.s

Here's what I'm planning to do with the last of the tequila, this time:
I'm going to take some as-fresh-as-I-can-get-them shrimp I've cleaned and deviened, and marinate them in a little sea-salt, ground black pepper, small amounts of ground red pepper, chili powder, and cumin, and a little oil. I'll mix it up and let it sit about half an hour, while I steam some jasmine rice.

Married:Deal With It!

May 27, 2011 by azure.s

Watched snippets on YouTube from the latest Tahoe Show: looks like a party! The sound is unusually very bad, though. Gonna have to find a way to see a live show. After seeing clips on the Tube about Hagar playing with Country stars, I started looking up Chesney and Keith, too. It feels almost sacreligious, (tee, hee). But I see a likeness between Chesney and Satriani.... And Toby just IS. Sorry: I hear "Sweet Soul Sister" in his voice..................Boy-friends influence so much! I've spent time as a Country fan, a Blues fan, but always a Rock fan. So.

Friends who pass on

May 18, 2011 by azure.s

The pain we feel when someone close to us leaves this life is both common/universal and unique/intimate. We all know it happens to everyone, but it's always a unique experience for each of us. It helps some of us to believe the person's energy is eternal and has merely transitioned. We will always feel the bond we share with the person, and draw strength from the ability to feel such love. Feeling pain isn't always a negative experience, in this sense. Perhaps the greatest difficulty is to remain open and willing to continue to develop such close ties, knowing they will become painful.
