So, the forum seems to be broken/gone/under construction or all of the above, so I am just going to post this here. I'll try to keep it brief, just something I am wanting to get off my brain...

So, I am a recent RedHead. I always liked Sammy's music in the past, mostly the VH stuff, mostly what you get to hear on mainstream radio (which ain't much). It wasn't until just over 2 months ago when I heard "Sam I Am" playing on my friend's Smartphone radio station that I said to myself, I need to hear more. Ever since then it has been my mission to saturate myself with everything Sammy. I just couldn't get enough of that voice, it was (is!!) like a drug to me. Something in my brain clicked somewhere, and I started loading up my MP4 with all the tunes, videos, and pics I could find. I have Sammy pics hanging in my cube at work. Sammy ringtones on my phone, as my wallpaper on my cell, as my wallpaper on my laptop...I just can't get enough. A day does not go by that I don't listen to Sammy in some capacity. I wrote him a letter (WROTE, not typed...yeah who does that anymore?!?) basically thanking him for being who he is, for being so generous to share his many gifts with all of us, and for affecting my life in such a postivie way. I have never before in my 31 years written a fan letter to anyone. I don't know if that kind of thing ever even gets to his hands, but hey I had to try.

Now, I know I am not telling you veteran RedHeads anything new, but I just wanted to put out another thank you to Sammy in public on the off chance my message might reach him somehow. I have even gotten myself in shape because of Sammy. I started taking my MP3 player out every night and walking. I am now up to 5 miles a day of walking/jogging, I have lost almost 30 pounds and 3 pants sizes, and I am loving it. Listening to him just gives me such energy, it's like nothing I have ever experienced. Gosh I am so sorry to sound so sappy and corny but this is all the honest to goodness truth. And believe me, this is 100% sincere, I have nothing to gain, nothing I am trying to get in return from all this shameless idol worship!!!

So, you can see why I am super psyched for my first ever live Sammy experience on September 10th. That, and I think Chickenfoot is just about the coolest thing on the planet since sliced bread. I would love just one opportunity to get to talk to him, thank him in person...I'm sure plenty of you want that as well and have never gotten the chance, and I know many of you have, and what an awesome experience that was for you. I have never had somoeone that I have never met completely amaze and fascinate me the way he does.

Thanks to anyone who actually took the time to read this, I tend to ramble sometimes, but when I got something to say, I gotta say it. Thanks also to all of you on here you have been super cool to us "newbies", I can't wait to meet some of you in Cali on 09/10!
