Long time fan

This is a review the Des Moines register did back in 1997. I am that guy and my son was 10 at the time. It was his very first concert. He still reminds me of this whenever Sammy comes on the radio. Neither of us will ever forget. I've probably seen Sammy about 30 times over the years, on his own, with VH(both times), with DLR. Still waiting to see you with Chickenfoot. Thanks for the good times.

Love Hope Strength Foundation - Saving Lives, One Concert At a Time

Seeing the video promo for Sammy & Vic's new acoustic album made me think of this. I often trek with the Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHS) out of Denver. LHS was founded in 2007 by leukemia survivors Mike Peters (of the Welsh rock band The Alarm) and James Chippendale (president of Ascend Insurance Brokerage). As the world’s leading rock-and-roll cancer foundation, LHS primarily raises its funds through musical pilgrimages to majestic sites like Mt. Everest, Mt. Fuji and Machu Picchu.
