Tickets are non transferable, you can't win them and sell. If ppl can't use what they won they are either lost or they go back into the second draw, you will have a chance to win again. Two in my group were also skunked.

I can't believe after all these years, I will be in Cabo and can't go to a show. I bought a time share and go to Cabo every year just for this. I am so angry and disappointed. Why can't they just sell tickets like every other concert does. This really sucks.

I screwed up and selected 1 ticket(not 2)on the register page. Have one ticket for the 7th show and one ticket for the 11th. Thats all good but if I can meet and trade either: my- 1 Oct 7 ticket for 1 Oct 11 ticket or vice versa, then I can take the wife. If not, I tried and I will go solo to each, no big deal. Would have to meet on the seventh in line to pass wrist band and then on the 11th as well. For those who have never been, they put the wrist band on right when you pick up (with ID), all parties must be there, you don't walk away with any ticket or wristband. So we would have to meet at the Wabo. (email me: smrobson@telus.net)and maybe we can work something out. I have a feeling there is going to be alot of bartering and trading going on outside the Wabo on Show days....

For all the people who did not get tickets, "It could of been anyone in your shoes, It's just the nature of the beast", put in your time & stand in line. It's not that bad, Ive been there done that, Had a T-shirt-LOL!!! It's kinda comical watching all the people stagger around all wee hours of the night.Downtown Cabo just dosen't sleep;/

Really? 3 people registered for all shows, received none. After 15 years of attendance, pretty dissappointing. Please return to the old way and charge if you have to, that is the only true fair way.

No luck for me either even though I registered for 3 shows. Every year I've had to pass on Cabo but this year I was determined to go for Sammy's 65th. Made my hotel reservations in March, told all my friends, & then I find out about the lottery last week. I'm devastated! Sammy was the ONLY reason I was going to Cabo this year! Not gonna let it ruin my trip though... I'm still going & will have an awesome vacation with my friends, drinking Cabo Wabo on the beach!
But for any of you luck Redheads who won tickets & need a place to stay, I actually have an extra junior suite (1 bdrm, 1 bath, partial kitchen) at Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos that I can't use now. It's reserved from 10/8/12 through 10/15/12. Let me know if anyone is interested...

Lucky you 2 sets of tics :) & I feel you're right, if someone won a pair of tickets their names should have been knocked of the list for a second pair so more people could see Sammy. Great of you to offer up your extra ones!

keep your tickets and have a good time. I had three shows last year and none this year. I was disapointed to but that is the way it goes. You can only sell one of your tickets and that person must to be with you when you get your wristband.

hey, i got two tickets for two shows and if it can be done i could possibly let go of my tickets for the show on the 9th. people seem really mad with this system. they should have programmed it so that everyone got one show before people got a second show, but luckily i got two and i'm going to the show on the 13th for sure. let me know, maybe we can work something out down there. i'll be in cabo from the 5th til the 14th. Locorico you hit the nail on the head. Sammy being the savvy business man that he is, surely did not have a role in this. He, however is the "boss" and hopefully will make sure this kind of fiasco doesn't happen again and that next time it is handled in a professional manner. I like all of locorico's comments and suggestions. One further would be to tell everyone how many people put in for the drawing for each show and how many were selected. If there were 2,000 participants and only 500 tickets, and most of those participants requested 2 tickets, it gets pretty long on the odds. In a random drawing it is very conceivable that someone could get all shows while others got none. The lack of information creates suspicion which is unhealthy. It becomes an emotional issue and we get mad. Understanding the process and what kind of numbers were involved would help everyone deal with the rejection more rationally and less emotionally. I didn't get any and put in for all 4 shows. I also didn't buy any lottery tickets this week because my Irish luck is not with me. Oh yeah, and the system was rigged and all a bunch of bs :-) just kidding.
Straight to the heart man....being in the Redhead Club should at least get you a better shot for at least one show...as well as a note saying, thanks for enetering, but youndidnt win...your credit card nfo has been destroyed... I understand Sammy keeping the price down and all that, but maybe be once you in one show, you are out for the others....I;ll go back to Cabo, but it will be in the dead oif winter whn its freezing in Canada...to everyone going, Enjoy...its worth the ride !!
Very poor method of selling shows, but I do agree that everyone should have got an e-mail stating yay or nay. I am just pissed cause I had 2 tix to the show on the 11th last year, but had to get them refunded after we found out my wife could not fly one week before departure. On the bright side flights and hotel are booked and we plan on enjoying Cabo this year no matter what.

What nights did you get?
Sammy - you're a professional businessman that clearly has the resources to get this right. So why does this process continue to proceed in such a flawed manner as perceived by your fans? Even if the "random drawing" process was done fairly, it would have been a respectful gesture to inform your fans (i.e. customers) exactly how you were going to select the winners (i.e. computer algorithm, pulling names out of a hat, etc.). It's very disconcerting to provide you with all of our credit card information without knowing exactly how or if we may or may not be charged for something.
Then, why couldn't you have programmed the system so each contestant/fan/customer got a chance to win (buy) one show before somebody could be selected for more than one? From what I've read/heard, you've really pissed off a lot of your long time Red faithful by shutting them out completely while other folks won multiple shows. It just seems really disrespectful...especially to folks that have whole-heartedly supported you for 30+ years...not to mention booked (really expensive) flights, hotels, etc. a long time ago.
And then just from a fundamental "Business 101" perspective, why didn't your system generate an automatic courtesy response to let people know they didn't win which ever show they registered for? I think there are still folks holding out hope that one of those magic "order confirmation" emails hits their inbox. If the contest is over, tell us. I have entered many random drawings online and have ALWAYS received a "sorry you did not win" message when I didn't. Simple business courtesy.
Finally, I know that there are more than a few of us wondering what your ticketing company is doing with all of that credit card information. Perhaps there was fine print somewhere that clarified this point? If not, there's got to be a huge liability concern there for somebody (you?). This is something else that could have been covered in a consolation message. "we've destroyed your credit card information"...or something along those lines would be a good idea.
I myself was lucky enough to win tix for the 7th. This will be the first year in the last 10 that we won't be at all of the shows...and I'm OK with that. You have brought so much fun and inspiration into my life over the years. I have met some of my best friends because of you and the Bash. But this will be my last year in Cabo in October. Although a lot of great people will still be there, it has turned into a complete pain in the ass. In addition to your ticketing process, airfare is also insane now and (for me at least) Cabo has lost so much of it's small town charm. As well, it's so nice here in Ohio in October that there's no need for us to visit Cabo when it's so freakin' hot and flirting with hurricanes. There's a lot more places we'd like to see and now we can venture to other exotic locales without feeling like we're missing something. Of course we will be missing the great party with the Redhead Nation, but I know we'll be seeing each other elsewhere too.
Sorry for the long rant but I hope you or somebody on the team will strongly consider making my suggested improvements going forward. I'm looking forward to rocking out on the 7th and again I thank you for so many good times. Face down, amigo.

Well all good things must come to an end. It was a great streak with a lot of great memories but just like NASCAR , you mess with the fans that got you there, then they will leave. At least that is how I feel with this new crappy system. For the life of me I cannot figure out how it is fair for people to get 2-3-4 shows and others get none. That is the one factor that tells me that this was rigged. Words cannot possibly describe my disappointment and trust in this so called fair system. If I got 0 tics (which I did) and everybody else just got one show, I could live with that..
How nice of you to want to do that. Really nice! The problem is they usually require that they put the first wristband on you, and then give you the other each night. That is to keep scalpers from buying and selling on the street. So chances are, you will be going to both shows. Each show will probably have a different set list and different guests too, so Enjoy!!!
My wife and I had been planning on coming down to Cabo for probably close to a year...We were briefly there on last stop of a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon in 2010 but felt we were rushed...We loved Cabo and planned a return trip to just Cabo for 5 days...Then, we magically score tickets for 2 nights!!! So stoked! It would have been fun even without a show, but this is awesome...Does anyone know the answer to this question: Can we give away tickets after we pick them up? We are going with another couple who did not win and we want to share the experience...THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO ROCK!

I am sure people are probably starting to line up for dinner tickets already since most real redheads were shut out. At least they should let us know that the drawing is over instead of giving us false hope.
I consider this a MAJOR FAIL !!! I like the idea of registering and a random drawing, then your name should go on a list so the rest of the tickets can be awarded to others!. Then if there are still tickets available you would be awarded a second set! ! ! But only after everyone has had a chance to at least get 1 set of tickets !!! Having some people with 3-4 sets/nights worth of tickets and others with NONE is just plain WRONG and a MAJOR FAIL ! ! !

Jackie & I put in for the first 3 shows and have received any reply as of yet.This may be the first Bash in almost 8 years that we will not be attending.Kind of feel cheated, but I guess this is the way Sammy wants it to go down now. We'll still be there to Party at the Marde' with all the Texas Red Heads anyway. See you in October !
I've been checking out redrocker.com for years. A "Redhead" for decades, and a B-Day Bash visitor every year for more than a dozen years. However, I've never contributed a post until now. I feel like I have to. I'm so discouraged by the lottery system which netted a big fat zero tickets for several friends that go each year. Not sure how this happens when several people are saying the have tickets to multiple shows. That being said, I'm more disappointed in the ticketing and web administration people for not saying one way or the other on the status of the tickets. Are they done? Are they still doling them out? It's a slap in the face to more than just me. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years supporting the bash. Is it too much to ask that a little information be passed on? Get it together. And count me as another person who thinks that this lottery is an abject failure.

Wow....there's some really lucky redheads out there. I wanted tickets for one show....didn't get them and there are people out there who won tickets to 3 out of the 4 shows? I just wanted my husband to celebrate his 50th with Sammy and 2 of our best friends. I guess we'll have to celebrate with the other losers.....street side.
Is anybody getting any tics today? Sure wish they would let us know if it's over or not.
