For the first time ever, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar is bringing his iconic Cabo-born “Birthday Bash” to Las Vegas with a weekend-long celebration and two sold-out shows at Palms Casino Resort on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5. Highlighting the weekend, Sammy’s Island at Palms Pool will host “Sammy’s Birthday Splash,” where Hagar, who will be joined by friends and family including fellow rock icon, Rick Springfield, will be honored with a cake and celebration. The poolside party will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. Admission is free to hotel guests and non-hotel guests 21 and over.

“The Palms is pulling out all the stops and rolling out the red carpet for the Redheads, and we’re doing it Vegas style!” said Hagar. “We’ve got rock & roll, cold drinks, and a killer pool—what’s not to love?!”

Three Lock Box will keep the party rockin’ with Hagar classics like “Rock Candy” and “Bad Motor Scooter,” pumping up fans for the big birthday show. Poolside vibes will be electric with non-stop rock hits from DJ Rick Gee and the Dancing DJs, plus mouthwatering food and refreshing cocktails, including Sammy’s Birthday Shots priced at $5. They include the Almond Joy, made with Santo Blanco, Sammy’s Red Head Rum and Amaretto; and the I Can’t Drive 55, made with Santa Blanco, Sammy’s Red Head Rum, spicy mango puree, pineapple juice, lime juice and agave.

Drinks will be flowing with an array of cocktails crafted with Hagar’s Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum, including Sammy’s Aloha Punch, made with Beach Bar Platinum and Kola Spiced Rums, passionfruit, orange and guava juices, Cointreau, Orgeat and bitters; and Santo Tequila, including the Cabo Rita, made with Santo Blanco tequila, Cointreau and fresh lime sour. Each beer bucket purchase of Red Rocker Lager will come with one complimentary can of Sammy’s, also available for purchase by the bucket. Red Rocker Lager, the debut beer by Red Rocker Brewing Co., is a refreshing Mexican-style lager. Sammy’s come in four refreshing flavors: Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Splash, Island Pop and Cherry Kola Chill.

Complimentary samples of Sammy’s top-shelf sparkling rum canned cocktails will be available from 1 to 4 p.m. A merchandise tent will sell the latest Red Rocker gear, including T-shirts, baseball caps and other exclusive items.
