"5150" Album turns 30 today!
Can you believe it's been 30 years since Van Halen's 5150 album came out! The album was released on this day in 1986. What is your favorite song from the album?
Rolling Stone calls up Sammy Hagar to get his thoughts on the "5150" album 30 years later. Sammy starts off the interview saying, "What a trip, man. Unbelievable. I just got out of bed, and what a thing to wake up to. I need some coffee for that one. Wow."

To celebrate today's 30th Anniversary of "5150" Sammy concocted this drink of the same name featuring Sammy's Beach Bar Rum! Head down to the Cabo Wabo Cantina nearest to you or make one at home. This drink is made with 2oz of Sammy's Beach Bar Rum + 1 more oz of the Redhead rum poured on top. It's served over ice in a champagne flute with a slice of lemon, a slice of orange, and a mint garnish. Happy Easter weekend!

From the first time I played the 5150 album.. I knew this is and always will be my favorite. Since then,, the album cover is signed by the band is on my wall! C ya in Vegas and hopefully Cabo!
This is definitely my ultimate desert island disc. Couldn't believe one of my favorite singers of all time was joining one of my very favorite guitar players and his awesome band. When I first heard the first single "Why can't this be love" on the radio I was blown away and couldn't wait to hear the rest of the album. I wore that tape out the summer I graduated high school. Was then and is still today my favorite album of all time. Thanks Eddie, Sammy, Mikey and Alex!
My favorite song of all time is "5150", on "Live without a Net."
HELLO BAYYYYYY-BEH!
Love this album! My favorite song depends on my mood, but lately it's "5150!" VH was at their best on this track! The harmony, the bros' solos, Mikey's bass, Sammy's screaming! "Always one more, your never satisfied!" ...hell yeah, What a chorus, and it fits my life right now!
"Dreams, Summer Nights, Best of Both Worlds, Good Enough," man, I just can't get enough!
And "Inside"...wow that track is so underrated, it just seems like the 4 guys were so happy, having so much fun. That's pure chemistry~VH at its best!
Gonna go listen to it now!
