Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum has partnered with the iconic Whisky A Go Go and Rainbow Bar & Grill on LA’s legendary Sunset Strip to feature the award-winning rum and sparkling rum canned cocktails.

The new partnership kicked off Tuesday, Feb. 28 with Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum as the presenting sponsor for a Hagar-themed musical retrospective at Whisky A Go Go’s longtime rock residency show, Ultimate Jam Night, which was created by Chuck Wright of Quiet Riot, Montrose and Alice Cooper. The celebratory night at Whisky A Go Go, located at 8901 Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood, California, included a give-away of a record signed by the Red Rocker, free product tastings and more, with performances by more than 40 rock musicians including Hagar-endorsed band, Red Voodoo, to honor the partnership and Hagar’s music career.

“I am beyond excited to have my rum and canned cocktails featured at two of the most famous clubs in the world, where I have spent countless nights either performing or watching other bands on stage,” said Hagar. “The Whisky and Rainbow are special to me and nearly every other rock band, and if you would have told me years ago that I would have a drink at these bars I would’ve thought I’d died and gone to Rock Heaven.”

The collaboration signifies a figurative return to Hagar’s rock ‘n’ roll roots and to the places where countless celebrated rock bands performed and became stars. Both illustrious locations will now serve Hagar’s Puerto Rico-made rum as well as his top-shelf sparkling rum cocktails in a can by his newest spirits venture, Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. Whisky A Go Go, the first venue to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will offer three specialty Hagar-inspired cocktails featuring Beach Bar Rum, including “Sammy on the Beach,” a Sex on the Beach with a rock twist, Hagar’s version of a Boilermaker and a classic Beach Bar Rum and cola.

Hagar’s Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum comes in original platinum white rum, as well as Red Head, made with macadamia nuts, and Kola Nut Spice flavors. His partner in Beach Bar Rum is rock icon, Rick Springfield. Beach Bar Rum steeps island flavor into his latest venture, a line of sparkling rum cocktails in a can by Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co. which comes in four playful twists on classic flavors: Tangerine Dream, Pineapple Splash, Island Pop, and Cherry Kola Chill.
