NOTES
Since 1963, Burlington Steamboat Days has played host to some of the finest entertainers in the U.S. Burlington Steamboat Days is the most prominent annual festival in Burlington and the surrounding area entertaining a widely diverse audience in the Greater Burlington community for the last 50 years.
We have seen entertainers such as Louie Armstrong in 1964 (our first big entertainer on stage) and Buck Owen in 1966 rocking the early days. We broke a record for the world’s longest conga line with Miami Sound Machine in 1986, we did “The Twist” with Chubby Checker in 1990, “Riding the Storm Out” with REO Speedwagon in 1993 and singing “Daydream Believer” while the Monkees rocked the stage.
Recent acts within the last few years include Poison, Sugarland, ZZ Top, 3 Doors Down, Zac Brown Band, Lady Antebellum, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and many, many others! We also have a carnival midway with over 25 rides presented and many carnival games you can step up and play.

Been A Hagar fan since I was 14. Seen Van Hagar in Cedar Rapids back in high school. Now I'm 47 and can't wait to see Sammy and the Circle tonight! Got my red shirt and ready to go! Biggest wish is to shake his hand and get a picture with him.
I would just take a cab from the hotel. The parking is free, but this is going to be a huge crowd and you're going to have to park a ways away. If you don't know the area, it will be more headache than it's worth. Plus, then you can party and not worry about driving! :)
Plenty of free parking, within a few blocks of the "venue". Depending on what time you plan on arriving, could be 2 blocks could be 4-5. They do have a few pay for parking lot, one on 4th and Washington, city parking lot is on 3rd and Washington (that one is free). Main entrance is on the South side of venue, it's also where you get your wrist band for booze. It is sponsored by Miller, not sure if they will have any Sammy products available. They do have a Lienie Lodge behind South stage (trailer). Seating is all GA, with a bunch of lawn chairs, SRO on both sides closer to stage and VIP.
Curious about the parking for this event? Never been to Burlington. Better to just take a cab from hotel or is there ample parking close to the venue?
9 days left before rocking out with "The Red Rocker" himself!! Can't wait!
I can't wait to see Sammy again! I had a great time partying in the parking lot with Mona in 1999 when Sammy and the Waboritas played in Burlington!
It'll be great to see Sammy back in Burlington after 16 years!
Three weeks, can't wait!!
Looking forward to June 19th
Going to this show, got VIP tickets right after Burlington Days posted Sammy was playing.
Thanks!
Would recommend staying at the Pzazz/Fun City hotel. Has waterpark, bowling, large sports bar/restaurant, and casino. Several other hotels in the same area. Snake Alley (worlds crookedest street) is a few blocks from the event. They also hold an Art Fair on and around Snake Alley on Sunday. La Tavola (Italian) and the Drake (wood fire grill) restaurants are close to Venue as well, would recommend reservations. The Drake also has a large outdoor patio area, they are right across from the event area. A few large parks in town, one with a disc course, 2 public golf courses, would recommend Spirit Hollow, it is one of the top courses in Iowa.

Will Sammy be securing any of the VIP passes for his Concert? If yes, how do we try to get/purchase a couple? We want to make the drive from Nebraska, sounds like FUN!!!
