Sammy Hagar (The Red Rocker) visits Live From Daryl's House for the brand new season premiere THURSDAY at its new time 9/8c!

Daryl Hall started Live From Daryl's House, the free monthly web show in late 2007, after having the idea of "playing with my friends and putting it up on the Internet," and the show has since garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Daily Variety, CNN, BBC, Yahoo! Music and influential blogger Bob Lefsetz, who cited Live From Daryl's House as a perfect example of a veteran artist reinventing himself in the digital age by collaborating with both established colleagues and newer performers.

So I just got this video (which includes the episode with Billy Gibbons) and it is awesome! Daryl, God bless his soul, can NOT sing Sammy's songs. He just can't hit the notes. Conversely, Sammy not only sings his songs great, but sings Daryl's better than he does! Honestly, I wish Daryl would not have sung -- jmo.
Sammy sings "Your Love is Driving Me Crazy" so well it's crazy (no pun intended). (I really wish Sammy would sing it more often in concert -- the song "Red" is what first made me love Sammy in 1978, but I love YLIDMC.) The acoustic version of "I'll Fall In Love Again" was incredible. "I Can't Drive 55" is the first time I've heard Sammy sing the 'Fifty Five!' words through the whole song in decades (which was always my favorite part of the song!). Although my wife liked (and likes) "Rock Candy" better, I thought the performance of "Sexy Little Thing" was a grand-slam.
Anyway, I can't help myself: I love Sammy Hagar's voice, as it is the best in rock history. Together with his upbeat presence and highly underestimated guitar skills, he's the greatest all-around rocker of all time.
This video is just one of about 15 I have of him, and is one of my favorites.
oh Man, yes , that would have been great. Ill be in Tulalip too !
Coincidentally, Sammy and Daryl will be playing shows on the same night in Seattle on Sept 3rd 2015. Sammy up north in Tulalip and Hall & Oates in downtown Seattle. It's too bad the show times are the same otherwise there might have been a great opportunity for one of them to jump on stage for the other's concert. In my dreams...
