Sammy and the Wabo's really know their business! They got the place rocking and ready for Aerosmith. I was in section 109 and wasn't an "upfront fanatic" for this show like I usually am (I'm spoiled) ;)I enjoyed watching the show from afar and watching the fans get into it! It was cool!!Mona and I were connected the whole time-what a beautiful smile Mona! Thank you Sammy,Vic, Mona and Bro for another wonderful memory. I love you all!
The highlights:
- Of course the best part was getting to meet the man! It was short but he made sure to meet us first being the lucky "Redheads"!! :)
- Sammy and the Wabos sounded pretty good. Much nicer and clearer than Aerosmith sounded later on.
- Got a couple shirts I haven't even seen online and they're actually pretty nice and cool and were only $30.....the 'Smith shirts mainly had the pasty old looking members on the front for 40 bones lol....
- The 'bump' that Tyler took off the stage....I think my buddy may have caught it on his camera.....at first I think it was staged but who knows....
The snags:
- Doors opened late...which led to the Meet & Greet running late.....with a prompt 7:30pm start (apparently the Aerosmith team "don't mess around" hehe) this led to Sammy being rushed but he still made the short meet and greet awesome as the pics show....other snag from this was that nobody in Toronto shows up for start times of concerts (or hockey games for that matter) so Sammy didn't have a full crowd to entertain until the last 2-3 tunes....
- Tyler's vocals and Perry's guitar weren't as clear as they could have been....good show for Aerosmith overall but the Pumped tour show in the late 80's was the best I've seen.
Thanx again to everyone involved in the contest, finally meeting a hero of mine was simply awesome and the night was incredible!
Sammy Sounded great!!!!! Its too bad that everyone with tixs were not there from the start. But Sammy did bring the loafters into the arena early. for the last 25% of his set it was 75% full, and Sammy and the band got a great ovation from the Toronto crowd. Stage looked great even tho they had limited space and the sound and lighting were good too. (sometimes opening acts don't get the proper treatment. I was dead across the arena and would have loved a screen at least to see some close ups. Only thing missing imo. Set list was 5 Sammy Solo Hits, 5 VH hits and a Montrose medley (which was very cool). Aerosmith was Very Good too! Great double bill Night!!
Excellent show... the band and Sammy rocked... glad he used his 'last minute'... I know he said there was 12K in attendance but they certainly we're there for his set... kinda of sad really.. a missed opportunity for a large % of the crowd... i'm sure everyone who was there enjoyed it... i still love 'rock candy'... i'd sure like to see sammy at fallsview casino... that'd be an awesome headlining show...
Excellent show tonight at the Air Canada Centre. For anyone who hung back because they don't "do opening acts" they did themselves a real disservice.
Sammy and the gang were in fine form. I wish they would come to Toronto more often. Hopefully as a headliner!

I first saw sammy on the red tour... opening for boston I believe it was... saw him with VH on their last tour... now tomorrow... anyone seen a set list?
I saw Sammy with Van Halen back in 2004 in Toronto. Out of the 8 shows I saw that tour, Toronto absolutely ROCKED! Everyone was on their feet. It was a quite a memorable show! I also remember parking wasn't cheap...like $30 US! Ouch!
I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves Tuesday night!! Have fun.
I'm going! Nice to see him in town. Saw him with the Foot here last year and went to the Cabo opening in Vegas in December and went and saw him in Tahoe in May! Hopefully Mexico in October.
