Wow!I didn't think it was that loud during the show, but man did VH kick some ass in Moline! My ears were ringing through the next day.People would ask me how the VH concert was and all I could say was "huh?"!Sammy played to the crowd as usual, and the solos were great!I am not a big fan of drum solos but the solo Alex did was very good. One of the best drum solos i have ever heard!Eddie and Sammy's solos were great too,but hell I expected that from those guys. All in all.it was a damn good time and I hope these guys don't wait so long to tour again.I hope you come back to Moline again soon Sammy!!Thanks for the ass kicking show!!

Pure Energy. Pure Joy. Pure Rock & Roll.
I travelled from Chicago to Moline to see the Sept. 20th show at the Mark of the Quad. It was, by far, the best Van Halen show, if not the best rock show, I have ever been to!
Sammy was full of energy, vocally sound, signing autographs while performing, and making the crowd feel as if he's your best buddy. Mikey was hitting the high notes, pumping the crowd, and rumbling on the bass. Alex was a machine on the drums....I swear I don't know WHERE he gets his endurance! Eddie was Eddie, the king of rock guitar..he hasn't lost a thing.
Well, there was one MAJOR difference I saw that seperated this show from every other VH show I've ever been to.....every member appeared genuinely HAPPY. From start to finish, these guys were laughing at each other, joking around, smiling...it was amazing. Eddie was doing his signature 'jumps' all night long, Mikey was 'stealing' vocals from Sammy, they were messin with each other's hair and instruments....simply FUN.
Yes, we know VH is great musically. We know they are great in concert. Blah blah blah. But THIS VH is something everyone should see. To watch four guys that have been rocking for thirty-some odd years actually enjoying themselves onstage is something to be witnessed.
