FINALLY!!! Got to shake hands with the Red Rocker! Gave him my Mom's children book. Hopefully, he can read it to his grand kids one day. Sammy, thanks for all the great music and keep Rocking!!

Came out from Queens to meet Sammy, get his new book signed and take a photo. Well. was that a nightmare. Got the book, never got a photo, or even an acknowledgment by Sammy that we were in front of him. His staff was HORRIBLE. treated everyone on the end of the line like cattle. pushing us along and even committed themselves to giving my husband a few good shoves. I was so disappointment. Came out with my husband, who is a big fan. If Sammy was not controlling this situation then, he should fire the “f” heads that were in charge.

Just making sure that my fellow Redheads get a chance to see my interview with Red co-author Joel Selvin, which was posted earlier today at the Riverfront Times website. This is part one of what will probably be three installments - the first two are Sammy-related while the last post gets more into San Francisco-related music (Journey, etc.)
