Just after the Americas Cup show in San Francisco, I had emergency brain surgery to remove an aneurism, dangerous but it saved my life. Seeing you up close again was a life saver for me Sammy, I started seeing you in the Montrose days and I thought that could have been my last concert on the planet so besides the Tahoe shows every year, this was a day to remember for the wife and I, we will never forget it!

Sammy, I heard my husband singing when EAGLES FLY when he came out of surgery and shivering with pain. Your music had got him through the most trying times in his life when he lost both of his Kidneys due to Cancer. Please hear his story on www.shawnphipps.com. Shawn wants me to play the same song at his funeral should that day ever come.

Had a blast last night at the show..band was great as always. Sammy sounded great

My name is Coy Pierce ,and I have been a fan of Sammy's since the first time I heard Three Locke Box in 1982(I was 12). Any way I finally get the chance to see him last nigh. Right after Tom Keifer's set this guy walks up to me and says"Hold this (its an empty beer can). It's not mine so I set it down. He starts yelling at me "So that's how it's gonna be",and starts hollering for backup. Thats when I noticed that the back of his shirt says security. They escort my wife ,my sister-in-law and myself outside the fence where I am surrounded by 5 o 6 police.

Looking for Jeff my girlfriend and I were next to you at the show on 10-13, you were helping me with my camera and you took pics of us and were going to send them. We were the good looking ones!! haha...please find me!

Finally got to Cabo to see Sammy. Have been wanting to do this trip for years. This year I finally entered the drawing and won 2 tickets for the 3rd show. Now that my luck has changed, I am going to start playing Mega Millions!! LOL

Anyway, the first time I saw Sammy was March 31, 1979 in Milwaukee, WI. Sammy opened for Boston at the Mecca Arena. Loved the show.

Since then I have seen him play with VH in Milwaukee at the Summer Fest Amphitheater and most recently in Toronto Canada and the Molson Canadian Amphitheater on August 27th. Kim Mitchell opened that show.
